（空軍工程設計研究局，北京 100068）[摘要] 介紹了美國聯(lián)邦應急管理局和國家建筑科學研究所合作開發(fā)的HAZUS 99房屋建筑地震損失估計方法的結構部分，能力譜法是其中的關鍵。詳細介紹了HAZUS 99結構部分的總體思路，最后指出了HAZUS 99采用能力譜法進行震害預測的意義。

The application of capacity spectrum method is the key part of the building damage estimation process in HAZUS 99. The building damage estimation process was introduced. Finally, the significance of the application of capacity spectrum method in HAZUS 99 was pointed out.
